Diagnosis

 
For sure, a good, thorough and unbiased diagnosis is both essential and the starting point in curing the sickness.Functional, Operational and Performance audits are fundamentals of this diagnosis.

But in wastewater issues, the view is often (literally) limited, hence we need something stronger…:
High level microscopic examination and functional respirometry are two cutting-edge tools to gain much deeper insights and a clearer vision of the root causes of trouble in treatment plants.

Respirometry

This diagnostic tool enables us to mathematically quantify all aspects of the activity of the biomass under investigation.
This tool can be compared with taking an “ECG” when performing a specific type of exercise (“load”) and this gives highly relevant and valuable information from a completely different point of view, so being very complementary with other information.

Microscopy

We are happy to have a high specification microscopic platform with Epi-fluorescence & DIC optics. Compare this technique with a high resolution medical CT-scan and you will understand why we value this so much and use it in most cases.
With this, we literally see what is in the biomass, how it is constituted and hence what causes the problems.
